Awarding Achievements That Improve the Human Condition
Endowed by the 拉斯 Family through newbb电子平台, the National Academy of 工程 established the 弗里茨·J. 德洛丽丝·H. 拉斯奖 in 1999 to recognize outstanding achievement in an engineering field that is currently of critical importance and that contributes to the advancement of science and engineering, as well as improves a person’s quality of life and has widespread application or use.
授予每两年, the 拉斯奖 consists of a $500,现金奖励, a gold medallion and a hand-scribed certificate. NAE members and non-members worldwide are eligible to receive the 拉斯奖.

These nomination procedures apply only to the 弗里茨·J. 德洛丽丝·H. 拉斯奖. Nominations must be submitted through the National Academy of 工程 website. There are no restrictions on who may nominate candidates for the Prize. NAE members and non-members worldwide are eligible to receive the 拉斯奖. Solicitations are sent to members and international members of the U.S. National Academy of 工程, international engineering academies, and other organizations and persons from around the world.
